Today was the day after the party. I didn’t party too hard as I already felt sick for some reason. But pretty much everyone else was going at it pretty hard. I rocked home at about 3.30 or 4 thinking I thought I had made it home in time to have some much needed sleep. Which was true, I got about an hour, then Drax, Paddy and Fabio showed up causing a ruckus. My memory is a bit hazy because I was sleepy but I am pretty sure there was a water fight involved. Luckily their energy supplies dwindled and they fell asleep and I was able to get more sleep.
I headed down to the lobby to get a room for another night as Drax and I weren’t leaving for another day. I was welcomed by a lobby full of sleepless, hungover bodies strewn all over the couches and chairs. It was a pretty funny sight because they all had glasses on and were practically asleep.

The abundance of bodies slouching on the couches.
From there the day was pretty relaxing. I was chilling with Drax, Fabio and Skye Darden for a bit. We went out for some lunch and chilled there for ages. I think drax was a little intoxicated last night. He was playing a real “manly game” with the other guys. This game intales smashing ice cube’s on each other’s head’s using each other’s heads as the smashing mechanism. Let’s just say drax and a mad headache and some minor cuts on his forehead today…..

Now I am in the rider’s hotel. Drax seem’s like he is coming to his sense’s and I am feeling super tired. I have packed my bags and I am ready for the next few days of travel. Tomorrow I am off to Zurich. I am there for a day and then I fly to Sydney and then home. I don’t think I have ever wanted to be at home this much before. I guess it is because I have spent very little time at home in the past 12 months.
Anyway stay tuned for some post’s about traveling

Here is a bunch of pic’s showing how my day went yesterday
It started by walking around the city and going to the museum.

After that we headed back to our hotel and out to the venue to get ready and check the jump out. I couldn’t believe the size of the crowd. They had 30 000 people there to watch.

The the comp rolled around and we had to start jumping and getting our tricks sorted for the event. It was super hard to get any shot’s of people riding just because it was so dark. I think I will need to find some online to show you guys. What I can show you is a bunch of lifestyle shot’s.

Anyway that’s pretty much all. I am pretty tired today so I can’t do much. I think I might go skating so stay tuned for an update about that.

Super super stoked on today. It was a super crazy event. It’s getting kinda crazy with how the sport is going at the moment. Everyone can do dubs and everyone does them well. Crazy. Any way here is a re cap of today:
Training went super well. I skied pretty well and got two tricks down for super finals. I ended up landing both my runs and qualified first into finals with a dub 10 mute to japan.
The in finals there were only 4. TJ, Tom, Elias, and myself. It was a little different to how big air’s are normally run but it was good. Everyone had to show 2 different tech tricks so I think that was good. Here are the results from the final:
1st ME
2nd Tom Walisch
3rd Elias Ambuhl
4th TJ Schiller
5th Andreas Hatveit
6th Jon Olsson
I am super stoked on the way I skied. I am also stoked on how well everyone else skied. I think Paddy graham deserves a mention here because he killed it today. He was doing awesome dub 10’s and was stomping the hell out of them.
I have just got back from partying which was super fun. But it is super late so I am going to head to bed and put some pictures up tomorrow.
See ya soon

The qualification is all done and dusted and I have to say I am stoked on the results. We rocked up to venue and saw the kicker in the middle of the stadium. Super sick venue for a big air comp in my opinion. Me and the boy’s proceeded to check out the kicker and the shape.

Not to long after that we were jumping and figuring out tricks to do for the comp. We pretty much got straight into doing our hard tricks and worked on them. It was cool because all the rider’s were helping each other out and telling them what tricks looked cool with what grab. I really like the fact that the freeski scene don’t see each other as competitors but more as mates.

Any way the comp was super sweet. Everyone pretty much threw down and it was super exciting to watch and guess who was in the lead. These were the top 10:
1. Russ Henshaw
2. Jon Olsson
3. Andreas Hatveit
4. Bene Mayr
5. TJ Schiller
6. Elias Ambuhl
7. Paddy Graham
8. Patrick Holous
9. Joel Albaladejo
10. Tom Wallisch

Pretty stoked on my skiing today but tomorrow is going to be the tuff part. In super finals the format is 3 runs with 2 different tech tricks.
Should be interesting but I’m sure it will set the skier’s apart. I can’t wait to see what everyone is throwing.
Anyway I’m off to dinner with the guys
Peace

So after London Freeze we were all really hung over. Except for Jacob and Andreas as they didn’t party. We still managed to get out of the hotel and check out some more of London. We didn’t venture to far because it hurt to move but it was still amazing.

After spending the whole day trying to stop my gut from swirling and my head from spinning we were back in bed at the hotel and packed ready to leave for Barcelona.
Drax and I have now been in Barcelona 1 day and it’s awesome. The people here don’t speak much english so it is a mission to make our way around town and even to order the food we want. But we seem to be doing ok. The archetecture here is amazing. All the building’s have so much detail and pretty much everywhere I look are super sick skate spots. In fact right outside our hotel is a super famous skate plaza called Barcelona Saints. It’s at the main train station and it is super fun to skate because it’s pure street and you don’t get busted.

The skate plaza

(Not sure what the meat was on this but it tasted good)
We spent the whole day walking around the streets and saw some amazing things. We saw street act’s, ate awesome food and window shopped.

My new ride. (Interesting fact: There are 400 000 Motobikes/scooters in Barcelona alone)

A mullet isn’t flattering at the best of time’s, so why go there when god already graced you with such an interesting hair colour?
It’s now 8 and I have just finished working out and showering. I think it’s time Drax and I head back into town for some more fine Spanish food.
Stay tuned

On the Podium

Part Time
So after a long night out on the town I think it’s safe to say I never want to party again. I mean it was fun and all but today was complete punishment.
Not much happened today. I hung out in London with Drax and Gus and tried to feel a bit better. Tomorrow I am off to Barcelona.I can’t wait to go skate as it is ment to be super good. Anyway I’m off to bed now…
